10mL Liquid Culture: Coprinopsis atramentaria - Inky Cap

For sale here is a 10mL syringe filled with a liquid mushroom culture of Coprinopsis atramentaria, or inky cap mushroom.

I foraged some inky caps last spring along the Willamette River in Keizer Oregon and germinated the spores. I cleaned it up on agar and made liquid cultures which are now available for sale.

This is a wood decay fungus that grows in late spring and early summer in #Oregon. For many years I was told to stay away from this mushroom because you can't consume alcohol with it. Though I'm 15 years sober, I was hesitant to put that enzyme in my body.

Surprisingly, they're amazing mushrooms and I feel silly for sleeping on this for so long. I've decided to grow them so I can eat them regularly and leave the wild ones for the insects.

Whether you forage them or grow them from my cultures I encourage you to try this mushroom. When harvested at the right stage of growth it is incredible.

I'm a reasonable person and I am happy to replace or refund any solution that fails. I almost never have it happen, but it does occasionally. My goal as a vendor is to ensure you can expand your culture to agar plates or grains successfully. So if you feel it is my error, kindly reach out and I will make things right.
