Oregon Mushroom Foraging Lessons

Greetings!

I teach year round mushroom foraging lessons on the Oregon Coast, in the Willamette Valley and in the Coast Range. I cover yellow morels in the Willamette Valley starting in March and black morels start around Mid-April. Spring mushroom season persists into July (peak berry season). Lobster mushrooms and chanterelles begin at our highest elevations mid-August and Fall season kicks off in earnest around mid-September.

My goal is to help you understand the language that the forest speaks so you can narrow your focus and make every foray a successful one. My students walk away from our forays with in-depth knowledge of how our seasons function, how to read weather patterns, and how to safely, ethically and responsibly forage within state and federal laws and regulations.
