For sale here are various quantities of dried Lobster Mushrooms (Hypomyces lactifluorum). They were foraged in Fall 2024.
Lobster mushrooms are formed when the host mushroom (Russula brevipes) is parasitized into a new organism. The entirety of its DNA is replaced in this process and turns a bland, uninteresting mushroom into a gourmet delight.
